Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 4th, 2026
Welcome to Stackjoy (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We create fun, free-to-play mobile games and operate our corporate website at www.stackjoy.gg (collectively, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information when you play our games or use our website, and your rights under global privacy laws, including California, European, and international regulations.
1. Information We Collect and How We Collect It
As an indie studio, we keep our data collection lean. We primarily collect information necessary to run our games, track bugs, and serve ads to keep our games free.
A. Information Collected Automatically
When you download, access, or play our games, your device automatically shares certain technical information:
- Identifiers: Device ID and Advertising IDs (Apple’s IDFA and Google’s GAID).
- Device & Usage Data: Operating system (iOS/Android), device model, language settings, gameplay progress, scores, achievements, and crash logs.
- Approximate Location: Inferred strictly from your IP address (e.g., country or city level) to serve local language versions and relevant ads.
B. Information You Provide Voluntarily
- Support Requests: If you contact us directly via email or our support forms, we collect your email address, name/username, and any information you provide in your message.
- Connected Third-Party Accounts: If you choose to log into our games using Sign in with Apple, Google Play Games, or Facebook, those platforms share basic profile data (like your user ID or avatar) to save your game progress across devices.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the data we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and optimize our games and website.
- Save your game progress and troubleshoot bugs or technical issues.
- Respond to your support tickets and feedback.
- Deliver, personalize, and measure the effectiveness of interest-based advertising within our free-to-play games.
- Comply with our legal obligations and prevent fraud or cheating.
3. How We Disclose Your Information
We do not sell your personal data for money. However, to support our F2P model, we partner with third-party service providers who help us run our business:
- Advertising & Analytics Partners: We integrate third-party Software Development Kits (SDKs) from networks like AppsFlyer, AppLovin MAX, Unity Ads, and Google AdMob. These networks use your advertising ID to serve personalized ads and track ad performance.
- Cloud Storage & Analytics Backend: We share anonymous or pseudonymous game telemetry with cloud infrastructure providers (such as Google Cloud/Amazon Web Services) to store game data and track game performance.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose data if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety and rights of our players and studio.
4. Interest-Based Advertising & Your Choices
Our games include personalized advertising. If you prefer to opt-out of having your mobile app usage tracked for targeted ads, you can do so at the device level:
- iOS Devices: Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track".
- Android Devices: Go to Settings → Privacy → Ads and select "Opt out of Ads Personalization" or "Delete Advertising ID".
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
Our corporate website honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If our system detects a GPC signal from your browser, we will automatically treat it as a request to opt-out of targeted advertising and data sharing.
5. Global Data Transfers
We are based in California, United States. When you access our games worldwide, your data may be transferred to and processed on servers located in the US. For players residing in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we utilize EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and equivalent legal safeguards to ensure your data remains protected during international transfers.
6. Children's Privacy
Our games and website are intended for general audiences and are strictly designed for users aged 13 and older (or 16 and older in certain European jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we discover that a child under the minimum age has bypassed our restrictions and provided personal data, we will take immediate steps to delete that information from our records.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data (such as game progress and device identifiers) only for as long as your game account is active, or as long as necessary to provide support, run internal analytical reporting, and resolve legal disputes.
8. Your Global Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live (including California, the EEA, UK, Brazil, and various US states), you have the right to:
- Access/Know: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Delete: Request that we delete your personal data (Note: exercising this right will wipe your game progress and cannot be undone).
- Correct: Request updates to inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Opt-Out: Opt-out of the "sharing" or "sale" of data for targeted advertising.
How to Exercise Your Rights
Because we do not have an automated web portal, we handle all data requests manually to protect player privacy. To submit a request, please email us at support@stackjoy.gg with the subject line "Privacy Rights Request."
To verify your identity, you must provide your in-game User ID (found in your game settings menu) or contact us directly through an in-game support ticket if available.
9. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our games or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on our corporate website and adding a notice inside our games.
10. Contact Us
